[ There's a light knocking on Felix's door, Adelaide poking her head in after she's given leave to enter. While not a woman with many fine things she is wearing her finest kirtle for the celebration, hair pinned back in loose curls and braids around her head, and in her hands a tray. ]
I thought, perhaps, since you are unable to attend the celebration, some of it might come up to join you?
[Felix is pleased to see her and manages a smile at her appearance.
He had been enjoying listening to the noise that filtered through his
window and he admits to being happy over not being alone.]
I brought you a little of everything. [ It only seems fair, and bringing the tray of food over gives her a little room to dip her head and hide her blush. ] And this-
[ This being a dish empty save for a circular disk of ice, not entirely unlike the base of a sculpture. ]
I am allowing myself a little frivolity with my magic tonight and thought, perhaps, I should give you the first of m works. Is there anything you would like in particular?
[ She rolls back one sleeve, resting her hand above the disk of ice for a moment. Then, slowly, hair thin strands of ice begin to build and spiral upward, branching off in an intricate fractal pattern as they twist into the shape of a flower; petals and stem and leaves lace and intricate with the delicate lines that repeat endlessly. ]
[ Once it is finished she lets her hand hover a moment longer, the whole of it blooming with blue light before she pulls her hand away. The light fades gradually ,leaving the flower crystal clear. ]
That will help it last awhile longer. Perhaps for a day before it starts to melt.
[ She takes what is now her customary perch on the side of his bed, shaking the chill from her hands so she might take his. Not for any pulse of Compassion's power- simply to hold it. Part of her wishes there was music, time, and strength enough in him to ask a dance; but this? This is enough. ]
Encouraging mages of different circles or no circle at all to share what they've learned and how they've learned it. Rewrite my articles and essays from the Spire- at least to the best of my ability to remember them. Save the world. Find a room without a hole in the outermost wall to sleep in. Take up actual sculpture beyond mere ice work if I find the leisure time. Start sleeping the whole night through. Mind Dorian for you, as someone must.
[ She squeezes his hand- who knows how much longer he has but- she will do all she can for him while he yet remains and as much as possible in his name afterward. ]
Oh I don't know about that. Benevenuta needs minding as much as Dorian- though Dorian and you both need it more. Though I can say, honestly, that I do not mind the minding.

And I am quite fond of you. So I am exactly where I wish to be.
