I didn't think your countrymen were known to be delicate. Do you shriek if you see an insect?

You'd be surprised. They do like to hide their less scary attributes.

Despite what it can be like, do you miss your home?

I miss parts of it.

The climate, for sure.

That's too bad. It's lucky you have plenty of blankets, isn't it?

I know. I don't know what I'd do otherwise.

I'll have to pile them up, make a blanket fortress.

A blanket fortress?

[ She sounds confused yet intrigued. ]

It's when you pile up blankets and pillows and make a little shelter.

Do Dalish children not do that?

Well, I never did. Maybe others, if they all gathered their blankets and pillows together. There isn't much to spare.

Do you play inside it?

[blightedson]

You do. You pretend it's your own space.

[serannas]

A space away from the adults? That sounds fun. Maybe I could try it at Skyhold when people are being irritating.

[He chuckles a bit] If I can, I'll show you how to do it.

[serannas]

[ There's only the briefest pause as she considers if she wants to be silly this way, and the conclusion is YES, OF COURSE SHE DOES. ]

That's something to look forward to when I get back.

[He chuckles a bit] I'm amused that you'd be happy to do something like that.

But then again, you did play a math game with me.

I'm always up for having fun! With everything that's been going on, we need reasons to smile, don't you think?

I agree. It's very important to find those reasons, no matter what is happening.

[Like dying, for instance,]

Then I'll let you know when I've returned to Skyhold so we can plan this. I may be late to this childhood experience, but you'll help me fix that.

I can't wait to - [A pause, as he realizes that wording sounds way too eager] It will be a pleasure to share those moments with you.
